It’s not the end of the world.

12 Songs: Corelords

12 Songs: Corelords

According to the “About Us” tab on their epic website:

Corelords™ isn’t a person, an account, or a company, it’s an homage to those who lay rail and kill barrels. A tribute to those who never gave a fuck and those who never will.

A Corelord is a Pennywise listener drinking black coffee on the freezing cold drive to surf “up North.” It is Shawn Briley taking off late at Pipe. Knowing there is a place for Rap/Rock. It is having a deep understanding of a forehand gouge by Trent Munro. It is a Matt Hoy magazine ad. The art direction at Da Hui in 1994. It is being an All-Day-Wettie-wearer as an grown adult.

Long story short: we get them. And so to shine a little light behind the core curtain, they’re taking over a few departments this week, starting with 12 Songs: Corelords. I hope the speakers in your garage are ready.—Travis Ferré
