12 Songs: with Jesse Guglielmana

12 Songs: with Jesse Guglielmana

Jesse Guglielmana has a unique origin story. He’s got roots in both Huntington Beach and Kauai…with a San Clemente stint mixed in. That background fueled one thing for sure: He rips at surfing and skating. But that’s only the beginning.

He currently runs a screen printing operation that quadruples as an art gallery and studio complete with shaping bay and other creative ephemera that inspires. He’s turned what was once his grandmother’s screen printing shop into an epicenter of Costa Mesa creativity. Just this past weekend he hosted the opening show for Keilani Mark — which is on display the next few weeks.

His surfboards are coveted art pieces that also go extremely well (a rarity). His paintings are incredibly sick and his recent skate video collaboration with Cole Walton is one of our favorite YouTube releases of the year (watch it below). Jesse has up-cycled and designed some of our raddest Inherent Bummer pieces — including four new ones currently for sale in our store.

All this being said, we’re featuring Jesse in some of our columns this week and we're kicking that off with 12 Songs curated by him. It’s a gritty bit of melancholy but we’re known to be emo on Monday mornings. Enjoy and look for more from Jesse this week.—Travis Ferré
