It’s not the end of the world.

More than a Moment

More than a Moment

It’s a bit unfortunate that our friend and filmmaker Jon Krippahne was able to cut this short film featuring footage from the 1960s Civil Rights protests alongside jarringly similar footage from the recent Black Lives Matter protests across the globe in 2020. It’s an emotional illustration that not nearly enough has changed for the black lives on this planet and we must continue to stand and fight with them. I know it’s overwhelming at times to organize all the info coming at us when information moves so fast, but I encourage you to find an angle that speaks to you or your community or someone you love and reach out. We have a long way to go. And, again feel free to share any relevant organizations or fundraising you find throughout your communities that we should know about (we’re at hello@inherentbummer.com). Below I’ve included some we’ve found. —Travis

Oh, and also this is cool. Rivers Sheehan, music contributor for IB and current Harvard student, recently got on the Harvard Radio Broadcasting station WHRB and broadcast this insanely good and in-depth DJ set. She turned it into a playlist of “Hip Hop and Music to Fight the Power” too. We posted it to our Spotify page and have already burned through hours of good protest music from the black community and there’s plenty to go around.
