Skating and surfing have a complicated relationship. It’s kinda like Bruce and Andy maybe. Quite a bit of friction but also a lot of love, because, well, it’s family. Those two used to have some pretty legendary bickering matches, but no love lost. Skating and surfing been pissing each other off for a few decades now in a similar fashion, despite the fact that one spawned the other.
Anyway, I guess it’s still a thing, despite the fact that half the pro skaters from the town I live in surf the same spot as me several times a week. Go figure. Either way, I’m a fan of this, I’m a fan of them, I’m a fan of surfing and I’m a fan of skating. Alex Olson’s always up to something worth watching. Get it. —Travis
