Dane Reynolds x Buell "Subdivision" Wetsuits are here

I am lucky. I get the opportunity to test drive a fair amount of our industries new wetties and it’s an honor and a privilege that I don’t take for granted. I remember days of thrashed wetsuits with holes and no bank account to replace or fill those holes all too vividly, so I take my opportunities to run new wetsuits seriously.

I was recently floated a new Buell Subdivision suit to try — the one Dane Reynolds designed with Buell to be no frills, just a clean solid wetsuit and my review is in: two thumbs and pinkies (Shaka’s) up. It’s all of the classic things you’d want in a wettie, and you’ll be fine to surf all of California’s grumpiest lineups in because it doesn’t play any goofy games or use the word butter or techno and the colors are chill. But the cool thing for me is that I discovered the all 2mm full suit is the official perfect wetsuit of the California summer. It is perfection. A trusted local in the water said, “They’re like jammies!” about his 2mm. And yes, a comfortable, flexible and just warm enough suit for summer is exactly what we need. Our jammies.

I believe the Buell/Reynolds Subdivision collab comes in all thickness’, but if you want to get out of the gates this summer with a new wettie I highly recommend getting this new 2mm full. It’s perfect.

Shop the whole line here. And remember to bring a 6-pack of Coors Lights in the bed of your truck for the post-surf lot troll.—Travis
