We recently received a dispatch from our friends in Europe. They have a new project a year in the making called Dirty Independent ID is a portrait of this crew that go by the name Keks Machine. Got all that? It’s a group of creative surfers, filmmakers, artists, musicians, that just so happen to be great friends and like to make indy films that we love..
Below is an email I received from Djoko the other day that explains their latest film.

Happy new year and Merry Christmas legend!!
Just a message to tell you that my last movie will be online tomorrow ( January 6th at 8:00PM French time), would be really appreciated if Keks Machine and I, have the support from Inherent Bummer on this project !

Dirty Independent identity is the result of a long introspection : 1 year of filming, editing, traveling and messing around with our favorite wankers.
The idea was to go back to the basics, who are we? What do we do ?
The ID is also to shit on the traditional surf film.
We don't do yoga, we are not vegan, and we never stretched much before our surf sessions.
The idea is above all to promote friends, surfers, filmmakers, musicians, professionals and amateurs, enthusiasts and neophytes.
All gathered around a common project with a common goal : STAY TRUE STAY YOU
We’re not giving lessons to anyone, we don’t pretend that we’re better than someone, we’re just showing you the truth.
100% independent / 0% sponsored : This movie has been realized by our own hands, music, animations, filming, editing… All of this has been created by friends for friends with the agreement to share authenticity and truth to the world.
No way to put a logo on our baby, this project has only been supported by our homies, and no-one brand could give us the love, the energy and the power like our friends did.
