Kelly Slater gets around on the Pods. He’s no stranger to ‘em. He’s done “Joe.” He’s making the Crypto chat rounds. He knows his way around a WSL headset. And we all eat it up. He’s one of surfing’s greatest both in and out of the water and I dont think I’m alone in not being able to get enough of his weird mind. I love it nearly as much as I do footage of him from the 1991-2001. That aesthetic of him and those white banana boards with black Quik logos and the Al stamp is something that should be in a museum.

In saying all that it is still rare to get Kelly off his mark and really speaking off the cuff — like he’s hanging at the pub or in the surf shop talking shit. And that’s what Jay “L8night” Larson and Lyndon “Choccy” Cabellon get on their podcast and the new episode with Kelly Slater is no different.
