Listen to Monde UFO

Need some new music to get you through the week? Check out Monde UFO, a band that brings Bossa Nova-inspired flavor to a lo-fi, sonically stimulating sound, with soft vocals, soothing melodies, and an ease that puts you in the mood. For what? We're not entirely sure yet, but we hope you get there.

Monde UFO's new single, "Lying On The Ground," comes off their forthcoming debut "7171," dropping October 31 via Universal Freeing Object. Heavily influenced by Brazilian artists like Antônio Carlos Jobim with a self-pronounced "weathered down Chamber Jazz taste of Steve Kuhn and Gary McFarland," Monde UFO creates a mood that teeters between elevated elevator music and the lull and unspoken thrill of cruising down the highway at dawn, watching the waves ebb back into the ocean. –Maya Eslami.
