Watch Alex Olson in "Out There"
We’ve been dorks for Alex Olson for a long time. Even interviewed him at an old mag we did. His outlook is always refreshingly candid and original and he has a scattered creative brain too. Since this is the second time I’ve written this post (deleted the first by accident) I can relate.
Thrasher just released this new mini-doc that takes you from Malibu to NY and back again with Alex over the course of 3 years. You get a glimpse into the scramble of juggling creative pursuits, running his companies Bianca Chandon and Nine One Seven while simultaneously trying to “get better at surfing.”
The Waylon Bone directed vid features appearances by Brian Anderson and some archival footage of Reese Forbes and Dylan Rieder during the Quik days. (Remember when Quiksilver had the sickest skate team ever?).
