Most of us grow up terrified at the thought of surfing the North Shore of Oahu. But if you're Barron Mamiya, Noah Beschen and Makana Pang its where you learn to surf: from whitewash at Haleiwa to a spot in the pecking order at maxing Pipe. We caught up with these three at Pupukea Grill following a few fun days of surfing this very fleeting , very heavy sandbar wave the locals have come to look forward to even (on occasion) more than Pipeline.
