I got another one of those “Recommended Decibel Limit Exceeded” notifications on my phone this morning. It’s becoming a regular thing - Siri channeling Nostradamus, telling me I’m about to go deaf, that I’ve reached the end of the Mayan calendar.
Technically, Apple is only allowed to notify their users of such an infraction once a week, at the end of a seven day cycle, but lately, my bluetooth headphones have been following suit. And just today, my car’s computer system decided to go doom-prophet on me, too. The omens are not in my favor. The machines whisper in unison: be forewarned…
