World Premiere of 5’5" x 19 1/4…Century goes down the Old Fashioned Way
Matt Biolos and the Lost surfboards crew got everyone together for a few beers and held an old fashioned surf video premiere of their newest creation, 5’5” x 19 1/4…Century.
They kept it old fashioned in that they just brought a big screen into the parking lot and let things take care of themselves. The vibe and soundtrack of the night were epic. The film however, was a modern treat and was anything but old fashioned! It features the best surfers of today doing their riff on riding the modernized version of the fish that was immortalized by Chris Ward, Cory Lopez, Andy Irons and others in the original 1997 film release.

Kolohe Andino’s ode to Tom Curren is a highlight — shaping and shredding his way through Australia and even Backdoor. Griffin Colapinto rips around home, Hawaii and the he KS Wave Co pool. Chris Ward in Mex, Ian Crane pig dogging bombs in Indo, Mason Ho pulling into death pits on the rocks and getting smoked on the reef. Noah Beschen twirling into oblivion, and Crosby Colapinto backdooring some heavy ones at Lakey Peak.
The night capped off with a raffle winner taking home their very own Round Nose Fish by Mayhem. And this is just night number one of many. Scroll to the bottom to see when they come through your town.—Brandon Guilmette
