Back in August 2022 we took a “Trip of a Lifetime” to Tahiti with a handful of friends including Jackson Baker, Billy Kemper, Laura Enever and Connor O’Leary. We were taken in and treated like family by Matahi Drollet and many other locals as we always are at The End of the Road.

And now we need to return the helping hand as they recover from a serious flood.

On our trip we learned what it means to live the Tahitian way. From the aquatic commutes, to surfing the scariest waves on the planet and even some fun small stuff, living off the land and sea required a lot of maintenance — taking care of the ocean, reefs, ecosystem and people that provide so much for so many in these remarkable islands.

You might have seen the recent news of the flood that caused devastation throughout the region at The End of the Road. Some of our dear friends and family have suffered some devastation that affected the area, many losing most of their houses, cars and some lost everything they had.

These amazing, welcoming people could use our help to rebuild their community. We’re hoping to visit again soon and see them all thriving again.

Thank you always to all of the locals that have made us feel welcomed in their beautiful home. Now it’s our turn to help.

Hinatea and her partner Tahurai live at The End of the Road and take in traveling surfers and run safety in the lineup at Teahupoo. They suffered some devastating losses to their home.
