"The Sky is Doing That Thing Again" Starring Sara Taylor

It’s no secret we’re huge fans of Sara Taylor and Charlie McHarg. Sara does the surfing and Charlie is the creative behind the scenes, the two have put out a few of our favorite parts in the past few years. Watch Beach Blvd and Gum Crush here. And their new part “The Sky is Doing That Thing Again” is another addition to their really fun and creative series.

They’ve invented an entire aesthetic of their own and ran so far away from competitive, glossy surfing that you can barely see it as a tiny dot in the rearview mirror. We love it.

The two recently moved up Ventura/Ojai way from Sara’s hometown of Huntington Beach and spent this wild winter dodging rain and wind and sleet and snow as California dares to break free of La Niña and into an El Niño pattern — which according to Mark Sponsler we’re well on our way to doing.
